Frequently Asked Questions…
“Integrative care is about partnership, and combining the best of modern medicine with timeless healing wisdom — all in support of your whole being.”
1. What kind of consultations does Dr. George offer?
Dr. George provides educational telehealth consultations focused on nutrition, lifestyle, and integrative approaches for individuals with breast cancer. These sessions are designed to complement your conventional care by helping you optimize your health before, during, and after treatment.
2. Do consultations replace my oncologist or primary care provider?
No. Dr. George’s consultations are educational and supportive in nature — they do not replace medical diagnosis, treatment, or direct medical care from your oncology or primary team. She encourages clients to share her recommendations with their healthcare providers so that all care remains coordinated and safe.
3. Who can benefit from an integrative consultation?
Anyone with breast cancer who wishes to strengthen their overall health, manage side effects, and promote recovery through nutrition and lifestyle approaches. Clients often seek guidance when preparing for treatment, going through chemotherapy or radiation, or transitioning into survivorship.
4. How does telehealth work?
Consultations are conducted via a secure online video platform. After scheduling, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a private link to your appointment. All sessions are HIPAA-compliant to protect your privacy and confidentiality.
5. What should I prepare before my first session?
You’ll be asked to complete an intake form detailing your medical history, medications, supplements, and typical eating patterns. If available, recent lab results or treatment summaries are also helpful. Setting aside time in a quiet, comfortable space will allow for a focused and meaningful conversation.
6. Does Dr. George prescribe medications or herbal formulas?
Because her telehealth practice is educational, Dr. George does not prescribe medications or herbal formulas directly. Instead, she provides guidance on dietary and lifestyle strategies and may discuss evidence-based options for you to explore further with your treating clinicians.
7. How often should I schedule follow-up consultations?
Frequency varies based on your individual needs. Some clients meet monthly for ongoing support through treatment, while others schedule periodically for check-ins, updates, or recovery planning. You can discuss an appropriate schedule during your first session.
8. How do I schedule an appointment?
All new clients begin with a complimentary 15-minute introductory consultation to determine whether the practice feels like a good fit for your needs. If we decide to move forward together, we will schedule a comprehensive 90-minute initial consultation. To reserve your consultation time, payment is kindly requested in full at the time of booking.
9. What can I expect after the consultation?
You’ll receive a written summary outlining your personalized nutrition and lifestyle recommendations. Dr. George encourages gradual, sustainable changes and offers continued guidance through follow-up sessions as your needs evolve.
